We are a group of volunteer parents and teachers who work together to continue to make YPYG a great place for children to learn.<br \/>\nWe want to bring parents, teachers and children together to raise funds for the school and strengthen the school community. Our PTA is very much at the heart of our school community.<\/p>\n<h3>Our principles<\/h3>\n<p>\u2022 Everyone gets involved \u2013 at whatever level they can afford in terms of time or money<br \/>\n\u2022 Use the strengths, skills and valuable people resources we have within our families<br \/>\n\u2022 Encourage use of the Welsh language within and outside the school<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the PTA raised approximately \u00a33K through our Easter Egg Hunt, Sports Day Refreshments, Summer Festival, Christmas Card Project, Christmas Jumper Sale and our Christmas Toy Stall.<br \/>\nWith this and funds from previous years, we are funding the following:<br \/>\n\u2022 Fencing for Key Stage 1<br \/>\n\u2022 The climbing frame<br \/>\n\u2022 Ice pops for sports day<br \/>\n\u2022 Year 6 leavers gifts<\/p>\n<p>In 2023\/24, we hope to raise more money to support the Key Stage 2 summer musical, educational materials, learning resources (including reading books) and equipment for outdoor learning areas. Our target for 2023\/24 is \u00a35K.<\/p>\n<h3>Want to get involved?<\/h3>\n<p>Come and get involved! There is no expectation on any parent volunteer, any amount of time you can give to the PTA will always be well received.<br \/>\nThere are a variety of ways you can get involved, from engaging with social media activity, attending PTA meetings through to volunteering at events or coordinating events.<\/p>\n<p>You can support our PTA events by coming along and can also make an ad hoc donation via ParentPay anytime by donating to the \u2018PTA Wish List.\u2019<br \/>\nEven donating preloved items, raffle prizes or suggesting brilliant ideas are ways of getting involved. We also have a teacher liaison (Ms Bliss) and we work closely with the Headteacher (Ms Pugh).","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who are we?
